Submersible Units

The ACU (current out) and AVU (voltage out) are submersible analog converters for your ANB Sensor. We recommend using anb_utils as an easy way to communicate with your sensor.

To set-up:

  1. Simply connect the ACU/AVU to the sensor and telemetry unit using the wiring instructions below.

ACUWiring

note

If loop current is used, make sure to connect the green wires to the loop current power source using a suitable load resistor i.e. 250 Ohms

caution

Ensure you have the unit connected the correct way round, as per the picture above.

The loop current should be supplied with a voltage between 12 - 24V.

  1. Power on the unit.
  2. Wait for the sensor to beep twice.
  3. You can now communicate to the sensor via anb_utils.

To start scanning:

  1. Either send a start command from anb_utils' command line prompt.
    or
  2. Set Autonomous Operation, configure the start delay and measurement interval parameters and the sensor will start according to the programmed timing sequence on power up.
  3. Wait for first measurement output (until the sensor provides a measurement there is no change on the output).
