📄️ Overview
The Battery Management System (BMS) is responsible for monitoring and managing battery voltage to ensure safe and efficient sensor operation. It checks the battery voltage with an accuracy of 0.3V before every scan, after issuing a version command, and following a reboot command. If the battery voltage drops below the configured threshold, the BMS will shut down the battery, halting sensor operation.
📄️ Setup
When the BMS powers on, it enters a Sensor Detection Sequence. If a sensor is not detected, it emits a double beep after ~10 seconds and retries every 5 seconds. This loop continues until:
📄️ Modify Settings
Set the battery's max voltage & discharge threshold
📄️ Install New Firmware
This option allows you to install new firmware
📄️ Command Line Prompt
This option provides access to additional BMS commands. Additionally, you can view the live data stream while the sensor is in operation.
📄️ Connecting the Sensor
Once BMS setup is complete:
📄️ Sensor Data
Sensor data is output at your configured scan interval in the command line prompt window.
