This option allows you to install new firmware.

Automatic installation

Automatically installing firmware from anbsensors.com is the quickest and easiest way to upgrade your sensor. This method requires an internet connection and will install both the Interface and Driver firmware on your sensor automatically.

To download the latest firmware from our website select 'y'.

Ensure your sensor remains fully powered and you keep the utils window open throughout the installation process. Additionally, make sure your computer stays active and does not enter sleep or power-saving mode during this time.

note

For certain older sensor versions, the utils application may prompt you to repower the sensor between firmware installations

Manual installation

To install firmware manually, first download the required files. You can then use the Utils software to upload them to your sensor.

To manually install select 'n' and manually download the required Driver and Interface firmware files into the same folder as anb_utils.

NB. The PCB Version displayed on the splash screen tells you which Driver (STM or ATX) and Interface (IA or IB) firmwares you need. For sensors currently running older firmware check here for which firmware version is required

Select a firmware file to install:

1 STM_20.0.hex
2 IB_20.0.hex

* Once installation begins, please ensure continuous power.

Enter file [1-2]:

Choose the firmware you want to upload to your sensor and follow the on-screen instructions to power cycle. The firmware installation will then start with a percentage completion countdown.

STM_20.0.hex is Driver Firmware

* Turn off your sensor for 5 seconds before powering back on

Please power down your sensor, wait for 10 seconds and power back on

Select 'y' if you want to install more firmware, or 'n' if you have finished.

Once you have power cycled your sensor you can verify the firmware has installed successfully by restarting anb_utils and checking the splash screen.

note

Driver and Interface firmwares should be installed together. When you have installed one, the sensor details will not be available on the splash screen. Enter to continue and install the second. When both are successfully installed the sensor details will be available after power cycling.
