Accuracy

To ensure the pH accuracy each sensor undergoes a performance check against a calibrated glass probe. In the example below an AQ5 sensor was placed in a seawater tank with a salinity of 35 ppt, acidified to pH 4.35, and the pH was varied through controlled additions of NaOH (2M).

As the pH was increased, the AQ5 sensor followed the change, accurately mirroring the readings of the glass electrode across all adjustments. These excellent results highlight the AQ5 sensor’s precision and responsiveness in dynamic seawater conditions.

Reproducibility

To assess transducer reproducibility, six sensors were tested in an open tank containing acidified water with a salinity of 0.5 ppt, where the pH was adjusted using NaOH (2M). It is important to note that no steps were taken to maintain tank stability during this experiment.

The results demonstrated excellent reproducibility between the sensors, confirming their reliability for precise pH measurement. With no need for calibration and proven consistency, ANB Sensors offer a hassle-free solution for water quality monitoring.
