In March we visited Belfast to discuss a collaborative project with The Queens University of Belfast, School of Biological Science, regarding pH sensing in cattle stomachs.
The sensors would be aimed at monitoring Rumen Acidosis, a common problem which is often undetected, to allow for the appropriate response to correct the acid imbalance.
During our visit, we gained a greater understanding of the stomach composition and requirements. We are now preparing for our second visit to The Queens University of Belfast, where we will trial our sensors using their in-vitro incubator, which will allow us to mimic rumen environment.
